Lightpath Leadership on Sustainable Vietnam: Women Empowerment & Leadership

By Irene Ohler, Founder, Lightpath Leadership –

On the occasion of International Women’s Day – 8 March – Sustainable Vietnam is inviting Irene Ohler, leadership development specialist, coach, storyteller and founder of Lightpath Leadership to highlight the topics of women empowerment and women leadership in Vietnam.

Lightpath Leadership is a Ho Chi Minh City-based consultancy with the Vision to build an ecosystem of programs and events for women leadership in Vietnam and purpose-driven leaders globally, and to use the Power of Storytelling to support leaders and their organisations.

Joining both Lightpath Leadership and Sustainable Vietnam, is partner AmCham Vietnam.

Equitable Opportunities

A lot is at stake for Vietnam.

Creating more equitable opportunities for women and greater representation of women at the higher levels of organisations is not just ‘the right thing to do’.  The McKinsey Global Institute (McKinsey’s business and research arm) estimated that “Vietnam could add $40 billion a year to its GDP by 2025”, which would see its current economic growth trajectory by about 10%.

Who wouldn’t want to unleash this potential growth and contribute to the sustainability of the country?

Conversations on Women Empowerment & Leadership – Book Your Calendars!

In line with this vision, Irene will invite, during Women’s Month of March, a range of guests active in this space to share their motivation, challenges and the impact they want to see in Vietnam through advancing gender equality and women leadership to create a ‘Sustainable Vietnam’.

Our first lunch event will be Thao Nguyen Griffiths who is currently Policy Advisor to the Chairman of Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI).

More information to come but in the meantime, book your calendar with the details below!

  • Date: Friday, 5 March
  • Time: 12:00-12:30 (GMT+7) – we will start on time
  • LIVE on Facebook: Sustainable Vietnam
In Partnership with AmCham Vietnam

AmCham Vietnam is committed to diversity and inclusion as a key part of our Core Values.

Our Board Members and Committee Leaders reflect that diversity.  Five of the nine board members just elected to our 2021-23 Board are women.

We established our Women in Leadership Committee (WIL) to provide women and their supporters with the skills to enhance women participation in positions of leadership in AmCham, their workplaces, and the broader community in Vietnam.

We are delighted to partner with WIL Committee Co-Chair Irene Ohler of Lightpath Consulting and Sustainable Vietnam on this series of important conversations about women’s empowerment and share insights on how to more fully tap into the talent of women in Vietnam.

See you online for the month of March!
