They all seemed very nice and enthusiastic but over dinner, I was finding myself trying to keep up with the conversation. This was not a language barrier. A whole new world of strategic sustainability efforts opened to me while listening to my colleagues from Schneider Electric.

In recent years, the business community in Vietnam has been actively promoting CSR under various forms and names. However, both academic studies, as well as practices suggest that CSR is not fully comprehended and is quite often misunderstood … CSR activities in Vietnam are therefore rather inconsistent depending on the size and scale of a company.

Christina Ameln chats with Forbes Vietnam on the transition to strategic sustainability where ‘all’ companies see CSR and Sustainability as an investment than a cost. How investors, regulations and leadership will drive the transition and integration so sustainability goals are business goals.
